A
Giclee' is a fine art image produced by a slow meticulous process with
continuous tone ink jet technology on a variety of media (watercolor
paper, canvas etc.). Special equipment, techniques, archival ink and media
produce museum quality images. Dozens of museums in the U.S. and abroad
exhibit Giclee' images and purchase them for permanent collections. These
include the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), Guggenheim (NY), Museum of
Fine Art (Boston), Philadelphia Museum, National Gallery for Women in the
Arts (DC) and California Museum of Photography; among others. The
Smithsonian Institute will produce many vintage photographs as Giclees'.
An increasing number of distinguished painters and photographic artists
have Giclees' produced including Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth, Richard Avedon
and Harold Feinstein.
